Circus Performer Injured in Bedford During Stunt
BEDFORD — A Universoul Circus performer was injured during a daring aerial act Friday night, leaving spectators stunned as he fell to the ground during his performance. Witnesses reported seeing the man spinning down a rope when a sudden drop and subsequent thud silenced the crowd.
Onlookers described the performer going limp after the impact, prompting the show’s staff to dim the lights and announce an intermission. While initial updates assured the audience that the man was conscious and moving, opinions remain divided on whether he returned for the encore with the rest of the performers.
"We were told during intermission he was awake, just rattled," said one attendee, who noted the announcement gave some relief.
Contradicting reports from spectators fueled speculation on social media. Some claimed to have seen the injured performer return during the encore, while others insist he did not reappear. "He didn’t return to the stage at all," said another individual, emphasizing that he likely sought medical attention. "I’m praying for his recovery."
One attendee expressed concerns about the potential severity of the injuries. "He fell with nothing slowing his acceleration. The impact could have caused internal damage. If he did come back, he should have been in an ER."
Despite the lack of official updates regarding the performer’s condition, witnesses said an ambulance was seen leaving the venue. Many called for more transparency and expressed hope for the performer’s swift recovery.
"I saw this in real time," said another spectator. "It was terrifying, and I pray he’s okay."
The Universoul Circus has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident or the current condition of the injured performer.
