Cleveland Public Library Hosting Open Interviews for Skilled Trade and Maintenance Jobs; Up to $30/hr

CLEVELAND, OHIO — The Cleveland Public Library is hosting open interviews for multiple skilled trade and maintenance positions. The hiring event will take place on Friday, February 21, and Saturday, February 22, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Central Distribution Center, 5806 Woodland Ave., next to the Woodland Branch.

Positions Available:

• Carpenter: Requires an Ohio driver’s license (DL) and four years of commercial carpentry experience. Pay rate: $28.30 per hour.

• Painter: Requires an Ohio DL and four years of commercial painting and drywall repair experience. Pay rate: $25.96 per hour.

• Maintenance Mechanic: Requires an Ohio DL and four years of experience in commercial/industrial HVAC, electrical, or plumbing work, or HVAC coursework completion with two years of experience. Pay rate: $30.855 per hour.

• Landscaper: Requires an Ohio DL and two years of experience maintaining commercial or multiple residential properties. Pay rate: $19.813 per hour.

• Custodian: Requires an Ohio DL. Pay rate: $17.628 per hour.

Interested applicants should bring copies of their resume, certifications, and/or professional licenses. The hiring process is expected to take approximately 1.5 hours, which includes registration, application, and an interview.
