Cleveland’s Sold-Out Premiere of 'A Warrior’s Walk' Spotlights Cancer Survivors and Caregivers
CLEVELAND — The premiere of A Warrior’s Walk, a documentary chronicling the resilience of cancer survivors and caregivers, is set to take place on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Valley View Movie Theater. The event, hosted by My Sister’s Keeper-Cleveland, has already sold out, underscoring the strong community support for the film’s powerful message.
Produced by LaunchArts Media, LLC, the documentary was filmed during the planning of the 3rd Annual Pretty in Pink Warrior Coronation Gala. It offers an intimate look at the challenges faced by individuals battling cancer while emphasizing the power of hope and collective strength.
"They are more than survivors; they are Warriors," said Valerie Brown, Model Coach, reflecting on the film’s subjects.
Among those featured in the documentary is Stacy Mathews, MSN, CNP, an oncologist at Cleveland Clinic and a cancer warrior herself. She shares how her personal experience has influenced her approach to patient care and deepened her compassion for those navigating the disease.
"We’re thrilled to bring this impactful film to life," said Sherri White, President and CEO of My Sister’s Keeper-Cleveland. "It’s a celebration of resilience and an opportunity to inspire meaningful conversations about how we can better support cancer warriors and their families."
The film was made possible through the support of Case Comprehensive Cancer Center, a leader in cancer research and patient care, and the storytelling expertise of LaunchArts Media.
