Fine Chocolates Small Business in Euclid Gives Behind The Scenes Look as They Prep for Easter

CLEVELAND, OH - Husband-and-wife team, Bob and Kristin Barnes, transformed their love for chocolate into a flourishing small business. Kristin's artistic touch brings life to hand-painted chocolates, while Bob's meticulous craft of making single-origin chocolate bars from scratch has set a new standard in the local confectionery scene.

The story of Sweet Bean began with a Groupon experience that ignited Kristin's passion for chocolate making. A day spent under the tutelage of a seasoned chocolatier opened her eyes to the art of tempering and molding chocolate, a moment of revelation that Bob supported by gifting her the necessary tools to embark on this sweet journey.

Bob's transition from coffee roasting enthusiast to craft chocolate maker was seamless, applying his knowledge of bean selection and flavor development to cacao beans. This shared journey has not only enriched their product line but has also embedded a culture of authenticity and quality in everything Sweet Bean offers.

Amid the pandemic, Kristin launched Sweet Bean with a vision that extended beyond crafting delicious chocolates. She aimed to foster collaboration and support among small businesses, embedding a strong sense of community within Sweet Bean's foundation.

Adding to Sweet Bean's story, Gremi, the host of "Cleve-It To Us," recently visited the shop to explore and film a segment showcasing its unique offerings and the people behind them. With Kristin and her chocolatier/pastry chef Amanda Hotton as his guide, Gremi delved into the enchanting world of chocolate making. Together, they experimented with the chocolate enrober, running everything from pies to potato chips through it.

The collaboration with "Cleve-It To Us" offered a behind-the-scenes look at the preparations for Easter, a busy and creative period for Sweet Bean. The adventures and the intricate process of crafting chocolate truffles and other treats were captured on film, making a fun and engaging segment for all.

Sweet Bean's journey can be followed on social media, where they continue to share their passion for chocolate making. Amanda Hotton's TikTok account, @amandahotton, extends an invitation to the audience to suggest fun snacks for the chocolate enrober, engaging the global community in sweet adventures.

Located at 819 E 185th St, in the LaSalle Theater, Cleveland, Ohio, Sweet Bean welcomes chocolate enthusiasts Tuesday through Saturday. Their story and offerings can also be explored online at www.sweetbeancandies.com, inviting those near and far to experience the joy and community spirit that Sweet Bean embodies.
