SANDUSKY, OH — Families looking for an exciting indoor water park experience need to look no further than Great Wolf Lodge, which boasts two locations in Ohio; one in Sandusky and another in Mason. Both offer a variety of water attractions, interactive experiences, and family-friendly entertainment, making them a top destination for year-round fun.

The Sandusky location is conveniently situated near Cedar Point amusement park, while the Mason lodge is just a short drive from Kings Island. Sandusky is the smaller of the two but still delivers a full range of water attractions and activities. Mason, being larger, offers even more slides and entertainment options.

A highlight at both locations is Fort Mackenzie, a towering interactive water tree fort where kids can explore, splash, and slide. A signature feature of the fort is the enormous tipping bucket that drenches visitors below when the warning bell rings. Another shared favorite is the lazy river, which provides a relaxing float for guests of all ages. Additional attractions include Alberta Falls, a thrilling tube slide, Big Foot Pass, where visitors can test their balance across floating lily pads, and Chinook Cove, a basketball-themed swimming area. Each resort also features Hot Springs, a pair of hot tubs; one for families and another reserved for adults 21 and over.

Some attractions are unique to each location. Sandusky’s Otter Run body slides provide fast-paced fun, while its Soak’n Oak Springs offers a shallow water play area perfect for younger children. Mason, being the larger of the two resorts, features an expanded lineup of slides, including Slap Tail Pond, a wave pool that mimics ocean waves. Thrill-seekers can try the Triple Twist, which propels riders through three fast-paced funnels, or Coyote Cannon, a 40-foot drop into a swirling vortex resembling a giant water bowl. River Canyon Run allows families to ride together in a multi-person raft, while River Racer provides a twisting ride that mimics downhill skiing.

Beyond the water park, Great Wolf Lodge offers a variety of free and paid activities for families. Complimentary options include morning yoga sessions, arts and crafts, bingo, and evening storytime complete with a dance party. Guests can also meet costumed characters such as Wiley Wolf, Violet Wolf, Sammy Squirrel, Oliver Raccoon, and Brinley Bear.

For those looking to extend the fun, additional activities are available for purchase, including arcade games, glow-in-the-dark mini golf, duckpin bowling, and the interactive MagiQuest and ShadowQuest games. Guests can also build a customized stuffed animal at the on-site Build-A-Bear Workshop.

To help guests save money and maximize their experience, Great Wolf Lodge offers four pass options; Pup Pass, Paw Pass, Wolf Pass, and the Ultimate Food and Fun Pass. The Pup Pass is designed for younger children and includes a Build-A-Bear experience, arcade credits, and a sweet treat. The Paw Pass caters to pre-teens, adding MagiQuest and a pair of Great Wolf goggles to enhance water park fun. The Wolf Pass expands on this with more activities, including mini golf, bowling, and gemstone mining.

For families looking for an all-inclusive experience, the Ultimate Food and Fun Pass provides dining credits, unlimited soda refills, popcorn, and access to multiple entertainment options, including MagiQuest, bowling, and mini golf. The resort also offers meal plans, with a breakfast buffet and several on-site dining options, including a Dunkin’ Donuts for quick bites.

Whether visiting Sandusky or Mason, Great Wolf Lodge offers a comprehensive family getaway with thrilling water slides, engaging activities, and plenty of opportunities for relaxation. With additional locations across the country, it continues to be a premier destination for families looking to make a splash. -------------
