Painesville Officer Under Investigation After DUI Arrest in Fairport Harbor

PAINESVILLE, Ohio — An off-duty Painesville police officer is under investigation following a DUI arrest in Fairport Harbor during the early morning hours of Sunday, October 13. Officer Amber Sutton, a one-year member of the Painesville Police Department, was arrested by the Fairport Harbor Police Department for driving under the influence.

Following the incident, Sutton was placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation by the Painesville Police Department. The department confirmed that no further updates will be provided until the investigation is complete.
