This Week's Top News in Northeast Ohio; 'Lost & Found in Cleveland' Film Premiering Sunday

Writer: Denise ZarrellaDenise Zarrella

Each week, Cleveland 13 brings you a quick recap of the stories that had everyone talking. This is The Click Report with Emmy Award-winning News Reporter Denise Zarrella. Here’s what made headlines this week.

(WCTU) — All eyes are on Lost & Found in Cleveland; a brand new film that’s not only set in Cleveland but also celebrates the heart and soul of the city.

Filmmakers Keith Gerchak and Marisa Guterman have poured over ten years into this project, which started as a spark between two strangers at an audition and grew into a full-fledged feature film. With support from Cleveland’s own, like the Fowler family, a women’s book club, and corporate sponsors including Sherwin-Williams, KeyBank, and Discount Drug Mart; the project bloomed into something truly special.

The cast is stacked with Hollywood legends: Martin Sheen, Dennis Haysbert, June Squibb, Stacy Keach, Jon Lovitz and many more. The film weaves together five different Cleveland stories, from a resilient young boy living under the Hope Memorial Bridge to a retired steelworker in Slavic Village. Local landmarks like West Side Market, Malley’s Chocolates, and Playhouse Square help bring the city to life on screen.

The world premiere wowed audiences at the Newport Beach Film Festival, and now, it comes home. You can catch Lost & Found in Cleveland at the Cleveland International Film Festival on Sunday, March 30, at 4:45 p.m. at the KeyBank State Theatre. Tickets are $18 at clevelandfilm.org.

From local talent to global screens, this movie proves Cleveland is more than a backdrop; it’s the main character. See Cleveland 13's full coverage on this film and its creators here.
